Road to the semifinals has began of euro 2008. And as we are approaching the end of this tournament the excitement has also began. There also have been several disappointments for fans as well as players. Portugal are out of the tornament despite the way they started their campaign. And if you have missed the last night match between Croatia and Turkey then you have missed one of the best matches as a football fan. Croatia was looking dominant throught the match as the shots attempted gives you an idea. The scoreline reads 0-0 after full time. And as according to new rules the extra time was divided into two halves. In first half none of the sides were able to score a goal. It was looking that the match is heading towards a penalty shoot-out.
But a brilliant strategy paid off for Croatia as they scored a goal in the last minute of extra time.
But the match was far from over as Turkey scores in the last few seconds of 1 minute injury time to head the game towards penalty- shoot out.
But the day belongs to Turkey as the Croatia players missed two chances and a brilliant save by Rustu means it was all over for crotia as they missed 3 out of 4 penalities with Turkey scoring in all three of theirs.
Turkey wins 3-1 on penalty shootout.
